The practice processes identity and contact details, appointment information (service, osteopath, date and time), messages submitted and technical data necessary for the operation and security of the service. The consultation type and information relating to care may constitute sensitive health data.
This data is used to arrange and provide care, communicate about appointments, maintain the necessary records, issue invoices, comply with legal and professional obligations and protect the service against misuse.
Access is limited to osteopaths and authorized persons who need it. Infomaniak Network SA, in Switzerland, provides service hosting, email and the CalDAV calendar. Data is neither sold nor used for advertising, and no audience analytics tool is currently enabled for appointment booking.
Disclosure to another professional, an insurer, a billing provider or an authority occurs only when necessary and based on the law, the care relationship or specific consent requested at the appropriate time.
Confirmations, changes, cancellations and reminders may be sent by email. Ordinary email is not end-to-end encrypted. It may be intercepted by a third party, sent to the wrong address or read if the email account is compromised. It may also reveal the existence of a relationship with the practice. The email provider chosen by the patient may process or store the message abroad. A booking without email can be arranged by contacting the practice by telephone before booking online.
Data is retained for as long as necessary for care and for applicable legal or professional obligations. Daily technical backups are retained for 14 days. Access controls, backups and encrypted transport measures are applied to protect the data.
You may request access to, correction of or, within the limits of retention obligations, deletion of your data. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent for the future by writing to contact@osteoetoy.ch.
